PEOPLE’S COURT OF JUSTICE AS THE HIGHEST EMERGENCY BODY IN NAZI GERMANY

This article continues the series of publications related to the analysis of the judicial authorities of Nazi Germany. It examines the process of formation and functioning of the German judicial system as the Central link of the emergency justice of Nazi Germany. Various scientific methods were used to study the topic. Among the special research methods used: historical and legal method aimed at studying the history of emergency legal regulation in foreign countries, formal legal, which provides for the analysis of sources of law that determine the mechanism of emergency legal regulation. Based on the analysis of regulations and research by domestic and foreign scientists, the author identifies the main factors that influenced the nature and specifics of the court’s activities. Based on the results of the review, the author comes to the conclusion that the jurisdiction of cases considered in this court has always been expanded and «clarified» depending on changing conditions and political conditions. The position of the President was decisive in this court.
