ПРОБЛЕМНЫЕ ВОПРОСЫ ИСТОРИИ ОРЛОВСКОГО ПЕХОТНОГО ПОЛКА:
НАЧАЛО БОЕВОГО ПУТИ И КИНБУРНСКАЯ ОБОРОНИТЕЛЬНАЯ ОПЕРАЦИЯ 1787г.
В статье раскрываются факты и обстоятельства начального этапа русско-турецкой войны 1787-1792 гг., связанные с участием Орловского пехотного полка в обороне крепости Кинбурн в августе-октябре 1787 г. Автор анализирует событийный ряд военных действий в районе Кинбурнской косы протии османских войск, и обобщает роль солдат и офицеров Орловского пехотного полка в отражении вражеской агрессии. На основе систематизации источников и исторической литературы обосновывается понятие «Кинбурнская оборонительная операция 23 августа-2 октября 1787 г.». Ключевое внимание уделяется вкладу подразделений и военнослужащих Орловского пехотного полка в разгром турецкого десанта в сражении при Кинбурне 1 октября 1787 г. Рассматриваются конкретные боевые эпизоды оборонительной операции, на основе чего уточняются действия командного и рядового состава на поле боя, дополняются сведения о понесенных потерях, и содержании списков тех, кто был награжден орденами и медалями Российской империи. Делается вывод о предпосылках и причинах победы русских войск при Кинбурне, которые связываются автором с высоким уровнем их боевой готовности, укомплектованностью кадрами из числа сословия однодворцев, и наличием профессионального командного состава в частях гарнизона крепости.

PROBLEMATIC ISSUES OF THE PARTICIPATION OF THE OREL INFANTRY REGIMENT IN THE KINBURN DEFENSIVE OPERATION OF THE RUSSIAN-TURKISH WAR OF 1789-1791.
The article reveals the facts and circumstances of the initial stage of the Russian-Turkish war of 1787-1792, associated with the participation of the Orel Infantry Regiment in the defense of the Kinburn fortress in August-September 1787. The author analyzes the event series of military operations in the area of the Kinburn Spit of the Ottoman troops, and summarizes the role of soldiers and officers of the Orel Infantry Regiment in repelling enemy aggression. Based on the systematization of sources and historical literature, the concept of the «Kinburn defensive operation of August 23-October 2, 1787» is substantiated. The key attention is paid to the contribution of units and military personnel of the Oryol Infantry Regiment to the defeat of the Turkish landing in the Battle of Kinburn on October 1, 1787. Specific combat episodes of the defensive operation are considered, on the basis of which the actions of the command and enlisted personnel on the battlefield are clarified, information about the losses incurred and the contents of the lists of those who were awarded orders and medals of the Russian Empire are supplemented. The conclusion is made about the prerequisites and reasons for the victory of the Russian troops at Kinburn, which are associated by the author with the high level of their combat readiness, staffing from among the estate of odnodvorets, and the presence of professional command staff in the parts of the garrison of the fortress.
