Статья посвящена вопросу возникновения на базе христианства ценностей либеральной демократии и возможности их адаптации на реалии российского государства. Помимо общих вопросов возникновения и понимания демократического устройства, автор уделяет внимание исследованию генезиса модели взаимодействия религии и политической системы Российской Федерации. Акцент сделан на большой роли православия, оказавшего влияние на политическую культуру страны.

ORTHODOXY AND THE LIBERAL MODEL OF DEMOCRACY
The article is devoted to the emergence of the liberal democracy values on the basis of Christianity and the possibility of their adaptation to the realities of Russia. In addition to general questions of the emergence and understanding of democracy, the author pays attention to the study of the genesis of the model of interaction between religion and the political system of the Russian Federation. The emphasis is laid on the great role of Orthodoxy, which has influenced a lot the political culture of the country.
