SCIENTIFIC INQUIRY AS TOOL OF EUROPEAN SCIENTIFIC SPACE MANAGEMENT
This article discusses the findings of the Innocult project: «Internationalization of Research: Institutional Innovation, Culture and Agency in the Framework of Competition and Cooperation». This project set to examine the inpact of the EU research programs on research policies against the background of multi-level governance, as well as on key research actors – universities and other research organizations. The author analyzes the outcomes in the light of the recent development of the research system in Europe, bearing in mind the transition from governmental control to governance. The article looks into european countries and studies the differences in their models of participation within the EU research framework. Internationalization trends, which have taken place for over a few decades, are also concerned.
