DIPLOMACY OF RUSSIA AND FRANCE AND THE SETTLEMENT OF THE GREEK-TURKISH CONFLICT IN THE 1820s.

The purpose of this article is to study and analyze the role of Russia and France in the settlement of the Greek-Turkish conflict in the 1820s.This conflict is associated with the national liberation struggle of the Greeks for independence from the Ottoman Empire. Russia was interested in solving the Greek issue jointly with France and tried to involve it in the development of decisions concerning the future of Greece. At the same time, this was not exclusively a bilateral relationship, because both England and Austria were also active participants in international relations during this period to resolve the Greek issue. The partnership between Russia and France was not permanent or stable. But the prevailing support of France for Russia’s foreign policy during this period contributed to a favorable end for Greece’s struggle for independence.
