THE INTERIM RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT IN BULGARIA IN 1877-1878:FORMATION OF THE BULGARIAN ADMINISTRATION
The topic of the Provisional Rule of the Russians in the lands inhabited by the Bulgarians after the Russo-Turkish War of Liberation (1877-1878) has so far been considered in Bulgarian historiography mainly in the military-political aspect. The efforts of the Russian authorities to create a Bulgarian administrative and management system have remained somewhat lost in research. In this sense, the present study is aimed at «shedding light» on this undoubtedly important period in the history of Bulgaria.
Keywords Russo-Turkish war (1877-1878), temporary rule of the Russians in Bulgaria, the Principality of Bulgaria, Eastern Rumelia, administration.
