STUDY OF THE PROBLEM OF RAW MATERIAL DEPENDENCE OF RUSSIA ON ENERGY EXPORTS

The article presents a two-stage economic analysis of Russian exports. The goods prevailing in export of Russia are investigated. Export of mineral products of the group «oil and oil products» for 2018 is presented separately. The regularities and dependence of the domestic economy on commodity exports, the share of which occupies two-thirds of total exports, are revealed. This is the main threat to the development of the Russian economy. In addition, the problem of Russia’s energy dependence was voiced, without which it is impossible to develop the country’s export potential. Export potential was defined as an instrument of Russia’s economic policy, through which the country’s competitive advantages are activated, contributing to its entry into the path of stable, accelerated and high-quality economic growth. It is noted that the positive changes that have occurred in the economy over the past 5 years were caused by the fall in energy prices, and not by the political will of the leadership of the country. As a solution to the problem, a number of measures contributing to the reorientation of the Russian economy and the diversification of all exports are considered.

Keywords: economy, export, raw materials sector, fuel and energy resources, oil, diversification.
