PORTRAYED DOCUMENTS AS VISUAL INFORMATION SOURCES

(TO THE IDENTIFICATION OF GASPARD GOURGAUG PORTRAIT)

This article is dedicated to research of the miniature portrait, which was placed on the front page of a diary of the former first officer d’ordonnance of Napoleon Gaspard Gourgaug (Paris : Perrin – Fondation Napoléon, 2019). As a result of the identification we discovered the name of the officer from this portrait as commander of the 34th regiment of line infantry Colonel Véron de Farincourt.
